The Meaning of Carebü
Our journey began with a clear mission, and over time, what started as a company naturally evolved into something more powerful, a close-knit, passionate family. This evolution into Carebü was embraced by our team, chosen for the profound strength and meaning it carries.
The name Carebü is infused with the spirit of Karibu, the Swahili word for “welcome,” reflecting our commitment to compassion, diversity, and inclusion.
It is also inspired by the resilient, communal spirit of the caribou. Like the caribou, we move together. Carebü represents unity, strength, and the promise that no one is ever left behind. We walk alongside children and families through every season of their journey.

Foundational Philosophy
At Carebü, our philosophy is rooted in the conviction that care must always be human, joyful, and grounded in real connection.
We reject rigid, one-size-fits-all approaches. Each child’s journey is uniquely their own, and our programs are tailored to their goals, interests, and abilities.
We meet families where they are, using principles of trauma-informed care to create a safe, respectful environment focused on emotional well-being. Trust and relationships form the foundation of our work.
Parents are always welcome to observe sessions—our commitment to transparency and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.

Land Acknowledgment
At Carebü, we acknowledge with gratitude that we live, learn, and grow together on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik people.
We honor the Wolastoqey Nation, their enduring connection to these lands, and their ongoing contributions to the communities we serve. The river known as Wolastoq, the “beautiful and bountiful river”, continues to sustain this region.
As we nurture growth, inclusion, and understanding, we commit to walking gently, learning continuously, and creating spaces rooted in respect, relationship, and reconciliation.

Neuro Affirming Stance
Carebü’s care philosophy is fundamentally neuro-affirming. We believe that neurodiversity is not a flaw, but a valid and beautiful way of experiencing the world.
We recognize neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD, as natural variations in human cognition. We celebrate each child’s strengths, interests, and natural ways of engaging with the world.
Our role is to lead with compassion, creating safety, connection, and understanding, especially when dysregulation happens. We aim to empower children by fostering growth, independence, and well-being, while avoiding approaches that may cause distress.
We support our learners to feel seen, heard, and safe, helping them find calm again, not trying to “fix” who they are.

Start your journey with Carebü.
Support that feels human, clear, and aligned with your values.
